Description
As discussed in recent FTag algorithms meetings (1 , 2) we developed a track classification tool, aimed at identifying the track categories defined in the InDetTrackTruthOriginTool (i.e. b-tracks, c-tracks, PU, fakes, tau, secondaries, etc - here's the link).
We underline two possible applications:
- use it for selecting enriched fake-tracks control regions;
- use it for discriminating HF tracks, to be then fed as input to FTag algorithms (track association).
The tool is ready and it has been implemented in the TDD, and we're starting to test it. In the meantime, as the tool gained some interest in recent discussions, we'd like to discuss its implementation under Athena.
You can find here the standalone AthTool we wrote down.
This tool uses combined information from tracks and jets, so, for example, one possible implementation would be to put it in the JetTagging athena package.
Cheers,
Martino
