Description
The student (ltoffoli) will be working to provide light-flavored scale factors in rel22. The light calibration is challenged by the high rejection factors that make it hard to find a sample pure enough in light jets following b-tagging selections. With the improvements provided by DL1d and GN1 in rel22, light jet calibration remains a challenge. Leonardo will take part in the light-jet calibration team and will work in all aspects of the analysis: from tuples production, analysis selections, and final fit for the extraction of the light-jet efficiency in data. If time allows, Leonardo will also investigate light-jet calibration methods for a tagger exploiting soft-muons information, which poses additional challenges related to the analysis methodology.
The work will be presented at the calibration FTAG meeting and documented in an INT note.
