      Description

      When I perform the following:

      gfal-copy -f -vvv -K MD5 root://test.example.com//dropfiles/hdfs-test/hello_world /tmp/hello_world.2

Then Xrootd should be specifically told what checksum algorithm to use; i.e., should transfer with the following URL:

      root://red-gridftp12.unl.edu//dropfiles/hdfs-test/hello_world?cks.type=md5

However, it seems that the opaque info is dropped, resulting in the server using its default configured checksum (adler32, in the case of my test server).

Given that there's no way the adler32 value matches the md5 value of the local file, I begin to question whether the checksum facility for gfal-copy is actually working...
